The Things I Do For You...

Its ok, I like editing this website. But boy does it take work! I couldnt figure out what i was going to do, first i thought maybe I'll give less expensive alternatives to Seventeen's spring must-haves (the prices were ridiculous), but then i decided to keep the Day/Evening thing. I did however put a twist this month; the Evening outfit is also a prom ensemble (enjoy :). I'm not going to prom this year, but hey, some senior might happen upon my humble website. :D
I'd just like to ask for e-mails on what you think, your home remedies, etc. It's a big help to know what you think.
Enjoy! :D
all the love in the world,
Li'l Dynamite

The Oscars

Let me start by saying I've been majorly sick, which really sucks, but it did give me time to catch up on some fashion-related topics.I watched the Oscars (absolutely loved James Franco and Anne Hathaway), and read my dose of Seventeen, and found out what the color of the year is (check the home page). However in the past months, I had a hair epiphany. My mother ordered Wen by Chaz Dean, this incredible clarifying conditioner free of harmful sulfates and filled with healthy goodness like rosemary, wild cherry and sweet almond oil. Read more about it on the Beauty page. I also happened to redo my part and actually figured out a way to get my bangs to do that cool feathering thing. Seriously, my bangs have tortured me for years and finally! A solution to my incredibly important dillemma! (Just kidding lol) But no, I'm very happy with my hair. Although, I do occasionally use a shampoo after an especially disgusting day in PE, but mostly I just used the clarifying conditioner. Have a happy month!
Love,
Lil' Dynamite

Okay, this isn't a mission.

I know you were expecting a new one, but I decided that I'd mix in a little extra with this blog. I think it'd be nice for you to know how I find the things I post, (besides, where else to record random moments in my life?).
It's september, and it took a while but I finally got the site updated. I'm doing the paris-y, romantic look this month because, lets face it, chiffon only works in warm weather. I thought romantic, and then I thought Macy's. A day later, I rethought romantic and decided on Forever 21, which was a great decision. I mean, look at that dress! It's adorable! Besides pink chiffon, what else just screams classic Paris? Sultry, smokey eyes and sexy curls. Add flushed cheeks and light pink lips and your done. (Another itty bitty change; articles instead of actual products on the Beauty page.) While using my favorite source in the whole wide world (AKA, google), I came across a website ALL about smokey eye makeup. I clicked, it came on and all I could think was: woow. They really like smokey eyes. I found a great article on smokey eyes, which is what I posted, but roam around the website. They have tons of good tutorials.
Today at school, I forgot my P.E. uniform and had to walk the field. In my clothes. Sure, I'd sweat more stretching and doing sit ups with the rest of them, but I'd be sweating in my Gym clothes, not the stuff I have to wear for lunch and another period. My hair got oily, I didn't smell too amazing and I stretched out perfectly good jeans. But hey! The grass was pretty!
Anyhoo, I'm about to go wash my hair, just wanted to stop and take some time to explain some stuff. any questions, send it to the sites email, listed on the home page. Bye!!
Mission 2: JCPenney

DATE: 6/3/10

PLACE: JCPenney

AGENT: Li'l Dynamite

This is a department store. Say hi. (SAY IT!) What does department store mean? It means that it's not a one-brand store. They've got a whole bunch of brands: Arizona, Olsenboye, Decree.... And much, much more! You guys probably already shop there and know how awesome JCP is. It has some majorly cute stuff for summer 2010. Arizona has a bunch of good, durable basics (tanktops and t-shirts). It has its own denim section. To be honest, I don't fit in the jeans downstairs ( downstairs is a commonplace reference for the juniors section). Thus, I buy my jeans upstairs (another commonplace term for the girls section). On this mission I actually ended up buying these really cute gray-jean shorts. If you're tiny, like me, don't be ashamed to shop upstairs! It's not that bad, really. Downstairs, though, the jean sizes are really comprehensive, in a wide range of sizes and the ever-coveted half-sizes. There are different cuts of jeans which are usually labeled. For light, summery dresses, try Olsenboye. For low cut, creatively designed shirts try Kimona Lee Simmon's Baby Phat. If you want a Boho-New York feel, Decree has some nice stuff. Arizona is basics central! They usually sort sizes by numbers on the hanger, but sometimes they screw it up, so don't rely on it. Arizona jeans have these easy-to-see tags clearly stating the size.
Check them out at www.jcp.com

Mission 1: Target

DATE: 5/27/10
PLACE: Local Target store
AGENT: Li'l Dynamite
Let's start with an intro for Target- my fave store ever! When people think of Target, they don't usually think of the clothing available there. It's more of an after-thought. Their absolutely rockin' clothes are a total surprise to those who don't go there often. But let me tell you, it is one of THE best places to get designer clothes inexpensively. It's not dirt cheap but, by comparison at least, the prices are great. The selection is impressive too. They have: Zac Posen, Mossimo Supply Co., Liberty of London, Converse One Star, Liz Lange, Merona, and C9 by Champion. They add new designers from time to time; I may have missed one... but you get the point. Plus, the sizes in the junior section vary enough that someone tiny like me can find something to wear that's NOT in the kids section, or if you're bigger, they fit just fine.
Tip for Target: They usually put their sizes in this order:
XS: red
S: yellow
M: green
L and XL: blue
CHECK OUT THEIR WEBSITE AT: www.target.com
